The KiiBOOM Jade75 is a compact 75% mechanical keyboard that balances aesthetics with function. With its CNC-machined and UV resin-molded body, tri-mode wireless support, and a uniquely translucent design, it’s a keyboard that stands out—both visually and in daily use.
Unboxing & First Impressions
Right out of the box, the Jade75 makes a strong impression. The packaging is well thought out, including a braided 2-meter USB-C to USB-A cable, a microfiber cloth, keycap and switch pullers, a USB-A wireless dongle, Mac-specific keycaps, extra switches, a screwdriver, and even an Allen wrench. The inclusion of a cloth keyboard cover is a nice touch that reinforces the premium feel.

The keyboard is available in two colorways—Clear and Smoky White. Our review unit, the Smoky White variant, features a smooth, frosted resin finish that resembles ceramic. The build feels cold to the touch and notably solid, weighing in at approximately 1.35 kg, which adds to the overall premium experience.
Build Quality & Design
The Jade75’s body is constructed almost entirely from UV-coated resin, with only the top plate made of CNC-machined aluminum. This UV coating not only enhances color vibrancy but also prevents discoloration over time. The result is a glossy, translucent finish that diffuses RGB lighting beautifully through the housing—including the sides and underside.

It’s a tray-mounted board packed with five damping layers, including sandwich foam, switch pads, PET acoustic film, and bottom foam. Combined, these components help eliminate hollowness and improve acoustics for a quieter, more satisfying typing sound.
Despite its compact form factor, the layout includes essential navigation keys and directional arrows. However, the wider-than-usual design meant we occasionally pressed the wrong key when reaching for Delete, which might require some adjustment. Additionally, the keyboard lacks dedicated Mac/Windows toggle and onboard storage for the wireless dongle.
What caught our attention was the use of side-printed keycaps, something we haven’t used extensively before. While they may take a moment to get used to, once the RGB is on, the fonts are easy to read, and the design contributes to a modern, minimalist loo
Typing Experience & Switches
Our unit came equipped with KiiBOOM Crystal Linear Switches, pre-lubed and featuring a:
- Total Travel: 3.6 ± 0.3 mm
- Actuation Force: 47 ± 15 gf
- Bottom-out Force: 55 gf
At first, the switches felt slightly scratchy—likely due to initial friction in the lube—but this quickly evened out with use. They’re tailored more for typists than gamers, offering a smooth, precise keystroke that pairs well with the flex-cut PC plate. The sound is subtle yet rich, aided by tightly secured stabilizers that arrived factory-lubed and relatively rattle-free.

The ASA-profile polycarbonate keycaps feature side-printed legends, which match the keyboard’s clean design but might be hard to see at certain angles. The keycaps themselves are glossy and feel similar to well-used ABS plastic—something that may not appeal to everyone.
Features & Connectivity
The Jade75 is a tri-mode keyboard, supporting:
- Wired (USB-C)
- 2.4GHz wireless
- Bluetooth 5.0 (up to 3 paired devices)
Device switching is seamless thanks to a physical toggle on the back, although the lack of clear labeling might confuse first-time users. The keyboard supports hot-swapping for both 3-pin and 5-pin switches and is QMK/VIA compatible, allowing for full remapping, macros, and RGB customization.
Battery life is average: around 2–3 days with RGB lighting on, and likely several weeks with lighting off, thanks to the 3750mAh battery.
Lighting & RGB Effects
The Jade75’s standout feature is its full-body RGB lighting. From the side underglow to the clear keycaps and frosted resin chassis, the board delivers an immersive lighting experience. South-facing LEDs ensure no glare when paired with aftermarket keycaps, and built-in shortcuts allow you to switch between modes and colors directly from the keyboard.

There are no dedicated indicator lights for caps lock or connectivity status, but the Caps Lock and Win Lock keys do illuminate white when active.
Verdict
The KiiBOOM Jade75 is more than just an artistic piece—it’s a well-rounded mechanical board built with attention to both design and performance. While it lacks a few usability features like dongle storage or Mac/Windows switching, it makes up for it in overall build quality, typing feel, and aesthetic appeal.
If you’re looking for a keyboard that blends premium craftsmanship with RGB flair, the Jade75 is an excellent choice—especially for users who want something distinctive on their desk.
