SHARGE is known for its bold designs and performance-driven charging solutions, and the MOSS 40W charger is no exception. Released as an official co-branded product with The Wandering Earth II, this charger combines sci-fi aesthetics with practical charging capabilities, making it one of the more unique options we’ve tested.
Design & Build
The MOSS 40W takes direct inspiration from the intelligent supercomputer “MOSS” featured in the film. SHARGE has recreated its mechanical sci-fi design in detail, complete with a “MOSS eye” on the front that lights up with a red indicator.

Unlike conventional wall chargers, this one adopts a split design. It consists of two parts—the charger itself and an exclusive display bracket. When assembled, it doubles as a collectible model, while the charger can still be detached and used independently.

The build also includes foldable prongs for the main unit, making it more portable for travel. SHARGE has included multiple plug adapters in the box, covering European, British, and Australian socket types. Combined with wide voltage support (100–240V), this makes the MOSS 40W a practical companion for international use.

Ports & Charging Performance
At the base, the charger houses one USB-C port and one USB-A port.
- USB-C port: Supports up to 40W PD fast charging with multiple PDOs (5V/9V/12V/15V/20V) and PPS (3.3–11V).
- USB-A port: Delivers up to 18W with support for common fast charging protocols including QC, FCP, and SCP.
When used simultaneously, the charger intelligently distributes power at 20W (USB-C) + 18W (USB-A), allowing two devices to charge quickly at once.

In our tests, it charged the iPhone 15 Pro at full 20W PD speeds, while also handling Samsung’s fast charging protocols on a Galaxy device. For tablets, wireless headphones, and even compact laptops, the 40W output is sufficient, though power-hungry devices like gaming laptops will require higher wattage solutions.

Everyday Use
While the 40W output won’t match larger multi-port GaN chargers, the MOSS stands out for its unique design and collector appeal. The portability factor, wide device compatibility, and smart temperature control system make it a reliable option for daily charging needs.
That said, its price point—around $60—positions it above typical chargers of similar output. Buyers are paying as much for the distinctive movie-inspired design as for the charging performance.

Verdict
The SHARGE MOSS 40W charger is a niche but fascinating product. It blends collectible design with practical fast charging, making it a great choice for fans of The Wandering Earth II or anyone looking for something beyond the standard charger aesthetic. While not the most cost-effective purely on performance, its build quality, portability, and dual-device support give it strong appeal.
