SoundPEATS PearClip Pro

The SoundPEATS PearClip Pro is a strong option for users who want a lightweight, comfortable, and budget-friendly pair of open-ear clip-on earbuds. While the case lacks wireless charging and the app could use refinement, the combination of secure fit, clear audio, and solid battery life makes these earbuds an easy recommendation for daily use, workouts, and casual listening.

THE GOOD
  • Comfortable and lightweight clip-on design
  • Secure fit for workouts and outdoor use
  • Good soundstage with clear mids and highs
  • IPX5 water resistance
  • Affordable price with strong feature set
THE BAD
  • No wireless charging
  • Bass lacks depth compared to in-ear models
  • App can be laggy
  • Battery life is average

SoundPEATS has built a reputation for delivering affordable yet high-quality audio products since 2010. With the PearClip Pro, the brand takes a different approach by offering clip-on, open-ear wireless earbuds designed for those who dislike traditional in-ear buds. Their lightweight and ergonomic design promises comfort, secure fit, and long listening sessions without the typical ear fatigue.

Design & Build

The PearClip Pro arrives in a neatly designed white box with silver-embossed details. Inside, you’ll find the earbuds, a USB-C charging cable, and the user manual.

The charging case features a capsule-shaped design with rounded edges, finished in glossy dark grey (marketed as black). It’s compact but doesn’t stand upright due to its curved bottom. Made from durable ABS plastic, the case houses a 350mAh battery that delivers up to 24 hours of total playtime. A front LED indicator and USB-C port at the back handle charging status and connectivity. Wireless charging is not supported.

The earbuds themselves use a 70% liquid silicone clip with a nickel-titanium memory wire, making them both soft and flexible while retaining durability. Each earbud weighs just 5.85 grams, making them comfortable to wear for hours. With an IPX5 water resistance rating, they are safe against sweat and splashes, ideal for workouts or outdoor use.

Comfort & Fit

Wearing the PearClip Pro feels natural thanks to the open-ear clip design. Since the earbuds don’t seal off the ear canal, they allow airflow and maintain awareness of your surroundings. The clips stay secure during workouts and runs without causing discomfort, even with glasses or hats. Over long sessions, the lightweight build ensures you hardly notice them on your ears.

Features & Controls

The PearClip Pro supports Bluetooth 5.4 with a range of up to 10 meters and allows for single or dual-earbud use. Multipoint connectivity is also supported, making it convenient to switch between devices.

Touch controls are built into each earbud:

  • Right earbud: volume up / next track
  • Left earbud: volume down / previous track
Both sides can manage play/pause, calls, and voice assistant activation.

The SoundPEATS App (iOS/Android) adds extra functionality with EQ customization, firmware updates, and a “Find Earbuds” feature. While useful, we noticed some lag when navigating between app screens, and location tracking wasn’t always reliable.

Sound Quality

Powered by 12mm dual magnetic dynamic drivers, the PearClip Pro delivers a surprisingly rich sound for open-ear earbuds. The bass is solid—though naturally less deep than in-ear designs—while mids and highs remain clear and well-balanced. Vocals come through warm and natural, making them enjoyable for podcasts, calls, and vocal-heavy tracks.

The wide soundstage is a standout feature, offering a spacious and immersive feel uncommon at this price point. Using the app’s EQ presets or adaptive EQ further enhances the listening experience.

During calls, the built-in microphone performs well, capturing voices clearly. Background noise suppression is decent, though in very noisy environments some external sounds may still be picked up.

Battery Life

Each earbud includes a 35mAh battery that lasts up to 6 hours on a single charge, with the case extending total playback to 24 hours. Quick charging is supported, providing 2 hours of playback from just 10 minutes of charging. A full charge takes about 53 minutes for the earbuds and 1 hour 17 minutes for the case.

Price & Value

At around USD 59.99, the PearClip Pro is priced competitively. Given its solid sound quality, comfortable design, IPX5 durability, and app support, it offers excellent value for anyone seeking affordable open-ear clip-on earbuds.

Verdict

The SoundPEATS PearClip Pro is a strong option for users who want a lightweight, comfortable, and budget-friendly pair of open-ear clip-on earbuds. While the case lacks wireless charging and the app could use refinement, the combination of secure fit, clear audio, and solid battery life makes these earbuds an easy recommendation for daily use, workouts, and casual listening.
