Leaked specifications for the Motorola Razr 70 Ultra suggest the upcoming flip foldable will arrive with minimal changes over its predecessor, with a modest battery increase as the only confirmed upgrade.
A spec sheet obtained by Android Headlines points to a device that closely mirrors the Razr 60 Ultra across nearly every category. The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra is expected to measure 171.48 x 73.99 x 7.19mm when unfolded and weigh 199g, matching the dimensions of last year’s model. The only external differentiation is likely to come from new colour options.
The display configuration appears unchanged. The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra is expected to feature a 7-inch inner folding screen with a 2992 x 1224 resolution and a 4-inch cover display with a 1080 x 1272 resolution, identical to the Razr 60 Ultra. Camera hardware is also reportedly carried over, with a triple 50MP setup comprising a main, ultrawide, and front-facing camera. One detail that remains unconfirmed is whether the internal display will feature an under-display camera, as leaked renders did not show a visible cutout on the inner screen.
The Razr 70 Ultra is reportedly powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite, the same processor used in the 2025 Razr lineup. There is no chip upgrade between generations. The device is expected to ship with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, also unchanged from its predecessor, and will run Android 16 out of the box.
The one confirmed upgrade is the battery, which grows from 4,700mAh to 5,000mAh, representing a 6% increase. Wired charging remains at 68W. The device carries an IP48 rating for dust and water resistance.
The limited upgrades are widely attributed to the ongoing global memory shortage, which has constrained component availability and pushed manufacturers to maintain existing specifications in order to hold pricing steady. The Motorola Razr 70 Ultra is expected to launch alongside the standard Razr 70, which is reportedly receiving more substantial updates including a telephoto camera and a significant RAM increase.
No official launch date has been confirmed, but Motorola introduced the 2025 Razr lineup in late April, and a similar window is anticipated for the 2026 models. All specifications remain unconfirmed until an official announcement.
For consumers considering an upgrade from the Razr 60 Ultra, the leaked specs suggest there is little reason to do so. Those entering the flip foldable category for the first time, however, will still receive a capable and feature-rich device if the specifications hold.
