The EPOMAKER x AULA EA75 Max builds on the success of the popular AULA F75 series while introducing a more refined design and several welcome usability improvements. Designed for users who want a premium mechanical keyboard without spending flagship-level money, it combines a compact 75% layout, tri-mode wireless connectivity, a TFT display, RGB lighting, and a gasket-mounted structure into a package that remains competitively priced.
After spending time with the keyboard, we found that the EA75 Max delivers an excellent balance of typing comfort, gaming performance, and everyday practicality. While it shares many design cues with previous EPOMAKER and AULA collaborations, it also introduces enough refinements to stand on its own.

Design and Build Quality
The EPOMAKER x AULA EA75 Max arrives well protected in the box with everything needed to get started, including a USB-A to USB-C cable, a combination keycap and switch puller, spare switches, and documentation. The keyboard is also supplied with a protective dust cover, which is a thoughtful addition for long-term use.
The keyboard adopts an exploded 75% layout with 80 keys, preserving dedicated arrow keys while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for gaming setups and smaller desks. A multifunction rotary knob occupies the upper-right corner alongside a small TFT display, replacing the dedicated PgUp and PgDn keys. These functions remain accessible through Fn shortcuts, while the display provides useful information such as battery level, date, time, connection mode, and operating system status.

The rotary knob deserves special mention. It offers satisfying tactile feedback with clearly defined clicks and serves multiple purposes. By default, it controls system volume, while an alternate mode allows users to navigate display functions and lighting settings directly from the keyboard.
One of the most noticeable visual upgrades is the RGB light bar integrated into both sides of the chassis. Compared to previous models, the slimmer implementation looks cleaner while producing bright, vibrant lighting effects. Combined with the south-facing RGB backlighting beneath the keys, the EA75 Max delivers a modern appearance without appearing excessive.

Although the keyboard uses an ABS plastic chassis instead of aluminum, it feels impressively solid with minimal flex. The gunmetal finish paired with black, gray, and gold PBT keycaps gives the keyboard a premium aesthetic that suits both gaming and professional workspaces.
Around the back, the USB-C port allows wired operation while charging the integrated 5,000mAh battery. EPOMAKER also includes a magnetic storage compartment for the 2.4GHz receiver, ensuring it remains securely stored when not in use. Adjustable dual-stage feet and rubber pads provide good stability and allow users to select their preferred typing angle.
Connectivity and Software
The EA75 Max supports three connection methods: wired USB-C, Bluetooth, and 2.4GHz wireless.
Bluetooth works well for productivity and general office use while maximizing battery life. However, users focused on gaming will benefit from the 2.4GHz wireless or wired USB connection, both of which support a 1000Hz polling rate and significantly lower input latency for more responsive gameplay.
Switching between connection modes is particularly convenient thanks to the dedicated three-position switch located beside the rotary knob. Its placement allows quick transitions between multiple devices without needing to turn the keyboard over.
EPOMAKER’s companion software is available for users who want additional customization. The software supports key remapping, macro recording, RGB lighting adjustments, firmware updates, and even allows users to upload custom images or GIF animations to the TFT display. That said, the keyboard is fully functional straight out of the box, and most users will not need the software for everyday use.

Typing Experience
Our review unit came equipped with LEOBOG Reaper linear switches, although the keyboard is also available with Silent Cotton Candy switch options depending on user preference.
The Reaper switches provide a smooth and light keystroke with excellent consistency, making them equally comfortable for long typing sessions and gaming. The keyboard uses a gasket-mounted internal structure with multiple sound-dampening layers already installed from the factory. As a result, keystrokes produce a pleasing, creamy sound signature without excessive hollowness or metallic ping. The factory-lubricated stabilizers are equally impressive, remaining smooth and virtually free of rattle even on larger keys.
The Cherry-profile double-shot PBT keycaps offer a comfortable typing surface with excellent texture and durability. Their high-quality finish resists wear while providing sufficient grip during extended use. Since the legends are not shine-through, users working in complete darkness may rely more on the RGB underglow than illuminated legends.
Gaming Performance
The EA75 Max performs confidently in gaming scenarios. Using the 2.4GHz wireless connection, the 1000Hz polling rate delivers fast and consistent responsiveness suitable for competitive titles. During testing across fast-paced shooters as well as slower strategy and role-playing games, the keyboard remained reliable with accurate key registration and no noticeable wireless interruptions.
The compact layout also allows additional mouse movement, making it particularly appealing for FPS players without sacrificing dedicated navigation keys.
Battery Life
Battery performance is another strong point. The integrated 5,000mAh battery comfortably lasts around two weeks with RGB lighting disabled under typical daily use. Enabling the RGB lighting naturally reduces endurance, although users can still expect roughly five to six days of regular usage before requiring a recharge.
The ability to continue using the keyboard in wired mode while charging further minimizes downtime.

Final Verdict
The EPOMAKER x AULA EA75 Max successfully combines premium mechanical keyboard features with an accessible price point. It offers an attractive design, excellent typing acoustics, reliable wireless performance, extensive customization options, and impressive battery life in a compact 75% layout.
While the plastic chassis may disappoint users expecting a full aluminum body, its overall construction remains sturdy and well-executed. The non-translucent keycaps and slightly noticeable stem wobble on certain switch variants are relatively minor drawbacks considering the overall package.
For users seeking a feature-rich wireless mechanical keyboard for both work and gaming, the EA75 Max represents excellent value. Its combination of solid build quality, satisfying typing experience, practical TFT display, customizable RGB lighting, and dependable wireless connectivity makes it one of the strongest options in its price range.
