Sonaura — studio-grade MEMS microphone technology
The most significant announcement is Sonaura, a new microphone platform developed over five years in collaboration with Infineon Technologies AG. The technology uses a Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems architecture in a 4mm x 5mm form factor, built on a custom low-noise ASIC and manufactured at Infineon’s semiconductor fabrication facilities.

Sonaura delivers a Signal-to-Noise Ratio of 83dB and a self-noise measurement of 11dBA. RØDE states the platform offers exceptional SPL handling, high immunity to RF interference, and a flat frequency response suitable for controlled studio environments and demanding field production conditions. Infineon’s Sealed Dual Membrane design provides protection against physical shock and environmental exposure, which RØDE describes as the most durable studio-grade microphone technology the company has produced.
The platform will be introduced across select products within the RØDE and Freedman Group lineup. The first product to feature Sonaura is the L1 sub-miniature lavalier microphone from Lectrosonics, with broader rollout across professional wireless, broadcast, and production applications to follow.
RØDELink II — professional UHF wireless microphone system
RØDELink II is RØDE’s next-generation professional wireless microphone system, designed for filmmakers, broadcasters, and content creators. The system uses proprietary UHF transmission developed with engineering input from Lectrosonics, RØDE’s stablemate within the Freedman Group, and is intended for use in demanding RF environments.

The system includes two transmitters and a single receiver for dual-channel operation, with each transmitter paired with a broadcast-grade lavalier microphone featuring locking connectors. Key features include 32-bit float on-board recording to microSD, a dedicated timecode I/O port for audio and video synchronisation, a rugged metal body, and three removable lithium-ion batteries. The system ships with a comprehensive accessory kit in a premium travel case.
Launching alongside RØDELink II is a range of timecode and audio cables, including 3.5mm TRS to 5-Pin and 3.5mm TRS to BNC timecode cables with locking connectors, and 3.5mm TRS to XLRM and XLRM Splitter cables for connecting microphones and audio sources to professional recording devices. RØDELink II and the accompanying cables will be available soon.
LPA1 and DS3 — new studio arms
The LPA1 is a low-profile studio arm designed to position microphones below the camera’s line of sight during recording, streaming, and broadcast. It offers 650mm of horizontal reach, a wide vertical adjustment range, 360-degree silent rotation, and supports loads of up to 2kg. Integrated cable management accommodates both XLR and USB connections. The LPA1 mounts to any standard desk via an included clamp.

The DS3 is a compact desktop studio arm built around a heavy weighted base that requires no clamping or mounting. It features a precision ball head, universal 5/8-inch and 1/4-inch thread adaptors, integrated cable management, and supports devices up to 1.5kg. The DS3 is available in black and white finishes and features a cork base inlay. It is designed and manufactured at RØDE’s facilities in Sydney, Australia. Both the LPA1 and DS3 are coming soon.

PodMic Flag — custom microphone branding
The PodMic Flag is a customisable branding accessory designed specifically for the RØDE PodMic. It integrates with the WS14 pop filter and allows creators to display their own logo or artwork on the microphone for video podcasts, livestreams, and studio productions. Artwork is designed, downloaded, and applied by the user via a wrap-around sticker format. The PodMic Flag is coming soon.

RØDECaster Studio — AI podcast editing application
RØDECaster Studio is a new desktop application for Mac and Windows developed by RØDE’s UK AI Lab. It is designed for post-production of spoken-word content, combining transcript-based editing with AI-driven tools for refining and publishing podcast recordings.
The application supports direct import from compatible RØDECaster devices including the RØDECaster Pro II and RØDECaster Duo, with cloud synchronisation via RØDE Cloud. Core features include word-level transcript generation with automatic speaker identification, text-based dialogue editing using AI in-painting to correct or replace words without re-recording, and a RØDE Assistant that accepts natural-language commands for editing tasks including filler word removal, censorship, and content trimming.
A flexible composition system allows multiple versions to be generated from a single recording non-destructively. Export presets are optimised for major platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and YouTube. Automatic title and summary generation is also included.
RØDECaster Studio is currently available for beta testing.
For content creators and broadcast professionals across the Middle East, the NAB 2026 announcements represent a significant expansion of RØDE’s ecosystem across capture, wireless transmission, studio workflow, and post-production, with several products confirmed for release in the near term.
