Huawei FreeBuds Pro – Top Wireless Earbuds We’ve Tried

The Huawei FreeBuds Pro offers everything you could want in a premium wireless earphone, including excellent noise cancellation, exceptional sound quality, and good battery life.

A major drawback is that there is no integration with virtual assistants such as Google, Alexa or Huawei’s own Celia. This means that there is no way to receive notifications or control other devices using your voice. Another disappointing one is that some features such as auto-pairing are available only on Huawei devices and the AI Life app is not available on iOS.

THE GOOD

  • Exceptional sound quality
  • Excellent active noise cancellation
  • Great battery life
  • Can be charged via USB-C or wirelessly
  • Connect two devices at the same time

THE BAD

  • No support for virtual assistants
  • Some features limited to Huawei/Android devices.
  • Huawei AI Life app not available on iOS

The FreeBud Pro retails for AED 499 and is available in Ceramic White, Silver Frost and Carbon Black colors.

Anker delivers a good overall impression with the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro. When it comes to sound quality, the Liberty Air 2 Pro is a great option considering its price.

With regards to noise cancellation, it performs very well and it has been very efficient in isolating external noise. Apart from all the different software features, the custom equalizer, Hear ID and the integration with Siri is a big plus.

On the downside, the touch system and the ergonomics of the headset could have been a little better.

THE GOOD

  • Good audio quality
  • Effective Active noise cancellation
  • Wireless charging
  • Compact
  • Supports Google Assistant & Siri

THE BAD

  • No multi-pairing via Bluetooth
  • Touch controls could be getter

With a price of AED 499, Liberty Air 2 Pro is an easy recommendation for those looking for a true wireless earphone with great sound quality, real noise cancellation and a good battery life for a reasonable price.
