Apple Arcade is adding an annual subscription option for $49.99 per year, joining the existing $4.99 monthly subscription option.
Priced at $4.99 per month for more than 100 games Apple Arcade is already a great deal, but an annual subscription makes it even more wallet-friendly.
The annual subscription option effectively gives customers two free months of Apple Arcade by offering a full year of access to the service for the price of 10 months.
Customers who already subscribe to the monthly Apple Arcade plan can switch to the annual subscription by navigating to the Subscriptions menu in the App Store app. New Apple Arcade subscribers will presumably be presented with the annual option when signing up, too.
To take advantage of the new pricing, open the App Store app. Next hit the Account tab and go to Subscriptions. You can then change from “1 Month” to “1 Year” as an option.
Apple Arcade offers access to over 100 games on iOS, Apple TV, and macOS, all of which promise zero in-app purchases or payments. A single subscription can be shared with up to six people through Apple’s Family Sharing service.
Apple Arcade continues to roll out new games regularly to keep gamers tuning in. Apple has been steadily adding to Arcade’s lineup over time, and the titles tend to be intriguing ones like Sayonara Wild Hearts, Skate City and Ultimate Rivals: The Rink. If you’ve never tried it before, you can take advantage of a 30 day free trial. If you don’t like it, just cancel your subscription, and move along.
