HONOR Middle East smartphone growth: 35% in the Middle East in H1 2026, per Omdia, becoming the region's No. 2 smartphone brand.
The new Visual Intelligence feature, new hearing test and hearing aid features for the 2nd-gen AirPods Pro are all expected to come later this year.

Tectember’s most awaited Apple Glowtime event was full of surprises. Leaving us with a lot to chew on, it is certain that many of you might have missed a few new products or updates. The long presentation by Tim and his team also left a few things unsaid (maybe because of the time constraint or thinking that those were trivial things to present in the Glowtime event). However, we thought of putting a little effort into bringing them to your notice.
It is indeed great to know that Apple is here with its updated AirPods Max. But did any of you think why Apple is not addressing the new Max as “second-generation AirPods Max” or “AirPods Max 2”? The reason can be that AirPods Max is not entitled to get the newer H2 chip which is installed in AirPods Pro and AirPods 4. Not only that but also the AirPods Max is not lucky enough to get a new design or new features. Instead, the buyers will get the AirPods Max in new colours and a USB-C port. And guess what? Even for this limited luxury, you will have to pay $549. That’s too much, isn’t it?
Throughout the presentation, there was no announcement about the Wi-Fi 7 support. But the same appeared on the “features card” in the presentation showing that iPhone 16 (regular and Pro) has Wi-Fi 7 support. This feature available in all iPhone 16 models will give better speed, lower wireless congestion and latency.
Yes, you heard it right in the presentation too. Apple crew claimed they were here with the longest battery ever. How long is the longest ever though? There’s no mention of the exact time. Later on, a detailed peek into the spec sheets gave a hint. The sheet shows that anyone with an upgrade to an iPhone 16 Pro Max, will get four hours more of use.
It was in 2022 that Apple unveiled Emergency SOS via Satellite with the iPhone 14. Then, it promised two years of free service. Later last November, Apple extended the service for an extra year until November 2025. As per the new service policy, the service will be still free for another two years. But the bill will come due at some point. Apple has not given any clue about the bill and how much it will cost. However, the bill will go shockingly high with several new features (including sending photos and videos).
Here comes the happy news for all Apple Watch lovers. We have noted that the new Apple Watch Series 10 features many updates. But there was no specific mention of the bands. This implies that your old bands can still work with the Series 10.

In the Glowtime event, Apple talked about many features. But the irony is that most of them are coming in software updates later this year (some might take even longer). Of every other feature, Apple Intelligence is the selling point for Apple. The much-awaited intelligence features in iOS 18.1 will come by October and more features will be included in iOS 18.2 and 18.3. The new Visual Intelligence feature will come later. The new hearing test and hearing aid features for the 2nd-gen AirPods Pro will also be coming later this year. Let’s hope the wait is worth it.
In the Glowtime event, Apple announced faster wireless charging for the iPhone 16. But you need some things to set it up. As you know, Qi2 charging and regular MagSafe charging are limited to 15 watts. So, you can charge wirelessly at up to 25W, only if you have a 30W USB-C power adapter and one of the new MagSafe chargers.
