China’s global giant Vivo launches the V40-series smartphones in India. The Vivo V40 Series India Launch event live streamed on Vivo India’s official YouTube channel features two models: the Vivo V40 Pro and V40.
The launch showcases two models: the Vivo V40 Pro and V40. The V40 Pro comes with a triple-camera setup on the back. It is co-engineered with the German optics brand Zeiss. Besides that, the Pro model features a 50-megapixel primary sensor (Sony IMX921). This primary sensor is accompanied by a 50MP ultra-wide-angle sensor and a 50MP (Sony IMX816) telephoto camera. Similar to the V40 Pro, the standard Vivo V40 also has a camera on its back. But it sports a dual-camera setup. It also features the same primary and ultra-wide-angle sensors. The Zeiss collaboration will likely continue on the base model.
Both smartphones feature a sleek, modern, stylish and durable design with an IP68 rating for resistance against dust and water ingress. It measures 164.16 mm in height, 74.93 mm in width and 7.58 mm in thickness, weighing 190 grams. The phone features a durable mineral glass back. The Vivo V40 series will be supported by 80W fast wired charging. While the Vivo V40 Pro arrives in Ganges Blue and Titanium Grey (Stellar Silver), the standard model comes in an additional Lotus Purple colour (Nebula Purple)

Here are the expected specifications for Vivo V40 Pro.
As expected, Vivo V40 Series India Launch stresses the performance and camera capabilities of the V40. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and 8GB of RAM, enables multitasking, smooth gaming and ensures responsive user experience. Mediatek 9200+ is another feature included in the V40 series.
There were speculations that the Vivo V40 series might mirror their European variants. The smartphones with a 6.78-inch AMOLED display give images more clarity and vibrance. The 120 Hz refresh rate ensures smoother scrolling.

The two 50 MP rear cameras (one wide-angle and one ultra-wide) are perfect for capturing detailed photos and wide landscapes. The front camera with 50 MP is great for high-quality selfies and for making video calls. Both the front and rear cameras support 4K video recording. This feature ensures clear and crisp videos.
5G, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth v5.4, NFC and USB Type-C are the connectivity options available in the V40 series. It also features an on-screen fingerprint sensor for added security. The other sensors include light, proximity, accelerometer, compass and gyroscope. Let’s wait and gather more insights from Gadgets and Tech Products Reviews on the new V40 series and see if the specifications are worth the try.
